The Center will feature schools from kindergarten to grade 12, and a vocational training center as well as a computer training facility. It will serve close to 1000 orphans due to parents dying of AIDS. A Health Center and homes for the children will also be built on the land.
Special emphasis will be placed on providing a normal family life for every child, where care, love, and empowerment can be given.
Much of the Children's Care Center once completed will be self-sufficient as water will be drawn from wells on the land. Electricity will come from solar panels and there is plenty of sun all year round. The land also has many fruit trees, and part of the land will be developed for farming.
The cost of the project is $3.15 million. To support the Salama project, please click here.
