Are you ready to take action and help build homes for orphans due to AIDS in Africa? Now you help build homes for orphans by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa (19340 ft – 5895 m), and the world’s highest free standing mountain. Join David Youngren, the founder of SaveAfricaNow, for an incredible journey to the top of Africa: August 25 - September 2, 2008.Located around the equator, the snow-capped mountain can be climbed by any physically fit and healthy person, and does not require technical skills, or climbing experience. Climbing Kilimanjaro is fun. Sure the last push to the summit is hard, but don’t let that put you off. Kilimanjaro is delightful mountain to climb. During the day, you will walk through spectacular landscapes which change every day as you pass through different vegetation zones. The pace is never exhausting as you walk slowly in order to acclimatize to the altitude. At the end of the day, while your guides are cooking you dinner, you can hang out with the rest of the team and walk around the campsite. As night falls, the stars come out, stunning everyone into silence. Climbing Kilimanjaro will give you a story that can be passed onto future generations; and it will give you a sense of great achievement. Of course, anyone can climb Kilimanjaro, but it’s not often, that you get to climb Kilimanjaro in order to build homes displaced children by AIDS.
